The 2008 American Historical Association Pacific Coast Branch conference will take place at the Hilton in Pasadena CA, beginning on August 7. Discounted online conference registration is available at our website (http://pcb.cgu.edu/index.htm) until July 8 which is also the deadline for conference rates at the Hilton Pasadena.
Our program committee has assembled an excellent array of sessions that will appeal to historians in many fields, including those whose responsibilities are primarily within the classroom or in public history settings. Moreover, given the Pacific Coast Branch’s on-going commitment to fostering the professional development of historians in all settings, we have a special conference rate for teachers in the K-12 community that is fifty percent below our standard non-member rate. Our conference routinely attracts participants from all across the western United States and Canada, who have the opportunity to exchange knowledge with fellow professionals and to learn about new offerings in historical publishing, new tools to facilitate their research, and resources that might support their endeavors.
We invite you to join us for a most successful conference!
