Romanitas, lenguas y literaturas romances
Vol. 3 Num 2
Latin-American and Caribbean Contemporary Literatures. (European Perspectives)
Guest-Editor: Peter Klaus (Freie Universität-Berlin)
In this special Issue, Romanitas will gather proposals and studies from scholars (European, Latin-American, and American etc.) to explain the impact, the specificity, the influence and the particular interest that these literatures had created in recent years. These cross-cultural perspectives include:
- Analysis of works from the Diaspora authors (the Haitians and Latinos of the USA and Canada, for example) who study their heritage from a “distant” point of view.
- The perception and critique of contemporary Latin-American and Caribbean literatures in European countries.
- The characterization of the Latino or the Caribbean in contemporary European literatures.
The Editors will give preference to the papers focusing on contemporary works (since 1945).
Dateline: November 30th, 2008
