The Western Association of Women Historians (WAWH) will meet for its 40th anniversary conference, at the University of Santa Clara in Santa Clara, California, from April 30-May 3, 2009. Special events will recognize the forty year history of WAWH. All are welcome to submit proposals which are due October 15, 2008. Applications for the Founders' Dissertation Fellowship, Judith Lee Ridge Prize, the Frances Richardson Keller-Sierra Prize, the Barbara "Penny" Kanner Prize, and, new in 2009, the Gita Chaudhuri Prize, are due January 15, 2009.
