Call for papers: Papers are invited for publication in the volume
Racial Narratives in Children's Literature. Ed. C. Richard King . West Lafayette: Purdue University Press, forthcoming. The volume is published in the Purdue University Press monograph series of Books in Comparative Cultural Studies & , a series affiliated with the peer-reviewed, full-text, and open-access quarterly CLCWeb: Comparative Literature and Culture (ISSN 1481-4373) . The volume is an extension of a thematic issue published in CLCWeb: Comparative Literature and Culture 10.2 (2008): .
Papers in the volume are 5000-6000 words, in the MLA: Modern Language Association of America style of parenthetical sources and a works cited (but no footnotes or endnotes), with an abstract of the paper, and the author's bioprofile (before submission, please consult the series style guide at ).
Following peer review and editing in consultation with the
contributors, the volume's editor, and the Purdue series editor,
Purdue copy edits the papers: all correspondence and the proofs of the papers are processed electronically in attachments only; contributors to the volume receive a contract from the Press upon approval of the volume by the Board of Purdue University Press; contributors to the volume receive one hard copy of the volume upon publication. The deadline of receipt of papers submitted for the volume including the paper's abstract and the author's bioprofile in a word attachment is 31 December 2008 to .
