The lecture series "art - research - gender" continues and realigns the Angewandte's series gender studies@project space. This year we place special emphasis on the heterogeneous approaches developed around art and gender topics inside and outside the Angewandte. On the one hand, the lectures are intended for the presentation and discussion of little known scientific and artistic/scientific positions on gender. As such, they also create opportunities for the University's early-stage researchers to better connect with each other. On the other hand, the series seeks to foster an open dialogue with other art research institutions through guest lectures by domestic and international researchers.
The papers presented during the academic year 2008/2009 will be published as the third volume of the lecture course's publication series.
We particularly invite early-stage researchers to submit abstracts from the area of their dissertation.
The lectures take place on the third Wednesday of every month throughout the academic year. Each session lasts about 90 minutes including a 45-minute speech and subsequent discussion. (Dates: 15/10/08, 14/11, 17/12, 21/01/09, 18/03, 15/04, 20/05, 17/06)
