Marking the 40th Anniversary of Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five, this panel will consider the inherent quality of meta-fiction in 20th century solder narratives, such as seen in the works of Vonnegut, Stephen E. Ambrose and Tim O' Brien. Papers to be considered for inclusion should focus only on American soldier narratives (1st or 3rd person).
