RETHINKING GLOBAL TERRORISM
|
CALL FOR PAPERS
The international journal Research Papers, University in Bihac is making
preparations for its special issue: RETHINKING GLOBAL TERRORISM.
The discourse on Globalization and Islam has become one of the most controversial issue in 21st century. The recent explosion of multireligious and multiculturalism intolerance, and ignorance, War on Global Terror and Western military intervention in Afghanistan and Iraq, make contemporary trends and processes in distribution of global wellbeing more and more discerning and dangerous. What are the trends and processes that are alleged to constitute new dealings between Islamic society and West in era of Globalization? How do they correspond with actual recent and long-term changes in the world economy and the world polity? What are the interests of different groups/elites in the political programs implied by the notions of globalization? What should be the response of Islam that are likely to be left out of the grand project of world economic deregulation and the free reign of global capital?
A one-page, double-spaced abstract is due September 1, 2008, sent as an e-mail attachment. We will review these abstracts and invite papers by September 30, 2008. Papers will be due December 31, 2008. The issue will be released in February 2009. Selected articles should be published in the forthcoming book ISLAM AND NEW INTERNATIONAL ORDER, which should be published by University Press in 2009.
Proposed articles should be sent as attachments to e-mail messages, directed initially to the editors-in-chief. They should be formatted, initially, in Microsoft Word and sent to:
