Journal of American and Multi/disciplinary Studies
The American Studies Graduate Student Association of the State University of New York at Buffalo is currently accepting submissions for this new publication
(print/and web interface). Articles and papers in the Humanities, Poetics, Philosophy, Visual Studies, Urban Planning, Environmental and Public Policy (etc.) are welcome. Those articles that relate to the local/global exchange of ideas and production, and those localized studies that subvert the presumption of the primacy of global connections, are of a particular interest. But as this is both an investigation of the local and the global, all categories and methods of engagement will be considered;
the pivot/point of engagement, process, and
thought should be explored along with the particulars of each
investigation/inquiry. All papers, conversations, and projects are welcome.
The goal of this issue, ultimately, is to facilitate discussion, collaboration,
and inclusivity of language/speaking/sounding/listening particular to categories of community, public debate, and academic discourse.
Please send submissions and inquiries to: rio@buffalo.edu
1. Include a working title and a brief abstract in the body of your e.mail
2. Attach your submission as a MS Word document
3. Indicate: JOURNAL SUBMISSION in the subject line
DEADLINE: 25 July 2008
