Description
One of earliest applications of AI was in the field of management practice. Business operations, economics and management practice is the widest area of activity, however there are not many applications of Machine Learning in this field. The aim of the session is to invite researchers from related disciplines to explore their ideas on the application of machine learning and related technologies in the broad portfolio of business, operations, economics and management practice. The objectives are to explore recent developments in the field and provide a critique on the strength and limitations of machine leaning and related methodologies and technologies.
Topics, but are not limited to:

-Transactions and security issues
-Supply chain management
-Decision making
-Production, scheduling, optimizing
-Business processes and workflow management
-Quality management
-Strategic portfolio management
-Stock Market, Game Theory
-Economic trends, forecasting

-Taxonomies and ontologies in business applications
-Community of Practice

-Camera-ready papers & Pre-registration: October 1, 2008
