Drama pedagogy uses techniques from theater practice to experience foreign languages cognitively, socially, kinesthetically, and empathically. Students engage with different worlds, move around in them and make their own impact on them. This panel seeks to investigate innovative scholarship and/or teaching at the intersection of drama/theater and language teaching and learning. Proposals of no more than 250 words should be sent electronically by 15 September 2008 to Susanne Even, Germanic Studies, Indiana University, evens@indiana.edu.

Interested participants may submit abstracts to more than one NeMLA panel; however panelists can only present one paper. Convention participants may present a paper at a panel or seminar and also present at a creative session or participate in a roundtable.
