(HOTCUS) Inaugural Conference, London, June 26-28, 2008

Registration deadline is May 31st.
The meeting includes panels on early 20th century politics, labour issues during and after the Second World War, the Early Cold War period, religion and the Cold War state, the Civil Rights movement and white resistance, the 1960s in Foreign Affairs, and politics in the 1980s. It also features panels on the arts and on race and gender issues. The keynote address and James Bryce Lecture on the American Commonwealth will be given by Professor Tony Badger (Cambridge) on "ALBERT GORE SR. AND THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE MODERN SOUTH".
