The Sommerschule is a fully accredited intensive German language and culture program offering intensive instruction to adult learners of all ages from the beginning to the advanced level in a German-only environment. It is ideally suited for anyone who wants to develop his or her German language proficiency in an immersion setting. Many of our students are actively preparing for a study abroad experience. The program draws participants from all over the U.S. Students and instructors live together in a modern and pleasant environment, offering a microcosm of the German-speaking world. In addition to the required core instruction in the morning, optional short courses on topics such as Business German, Intercultural Communication and Pronunciation and Intonation will be offered in the afternoons. Finally, we have an extensive extra-curricular program including theater and music workshops, film screenings, cultural presentations, lectures, games, excursions and picnics at nearby beaches.
