Join us for the first annual Stan Hywet Symposium (October 17 & 18, 2008) and explore the cultural, architectural and social history of America’s Industrial Revolution and the ensuing Gilded Age. Examine efforts to preserve the country house estates of the period for future generations.
Presentations will be in the three focused areas of history, architecture and historic preservation and will take place at the historic Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, Akron, Ohio.
Come early! On October 16, there will be a guided motor coach tour of Akron, Ohio at 6 p.m. Seats are limited so register early. Registration begins April 30, 2008.
