The Turkish as a second language program will provide you the opportunity to explore to the fullest the rich Turkish language education and introduce you to our campus and our vicinity: full of art, history, culture and other wonders. The campus encompasses the attributes of the east and the west, the modern and the traditional, the old and the new. Located directly on the European shore of the Bosphorus, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia , the campus encompasses the beauties of the city and the sea. Surrounded by a vibrant urban life just outside the campus, Bahçeşehir University is not only a center of learning, teaching and research, but it provides a unique setting within which to bring together people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual understanding.
Program
The program offers you a course at the beginner level of language instruction taught by university staff specialized in teaching Turkish as a second language. Class size is approximately 15 students. The students receive 130 hours of instruction during the program. Classes are held on weekdays 10 am 3.30 pm. The program aims to give students a comprehensive working knowledge of Turkish in listening, reading, writing and speaking. The course consists of fundamental knowledge about phonology, simple sentence structure and a basic vocabulary designed to meet basic communicative needs. 16 hours of instruction per week include 8 hours of grammar and 8 hours of exercise, reading, writing and speaking.
Extracurricular Activities
In the cultural component of the program, the students are provided Turkish film sessions once each week. Extracurricular activities include Turkish and English lectures given by scholars specialized in fields such as history, literature, fine arts, architecture, etc. Moreover, a number of excursions to the historical sites of Istanbul are scheduled and guided by professional guides.
Course Credit
9 transferable credits are given upon successful completion of the course. A final grade will be issued only to those who fulfill the requirements of the course which include full attendance and participation in all examinations.

Total capacity are 49 students.
All suits are single and double. All luxury suits have LCD, DVD, Wireless internet, free cleaning service. Yurdum dormitory has camera control system for security, full equipped kitchens, a small cafe, a fitness center, a library and a TV room.
