The Dictionary of the Bible and Western Culture: A Handbook for Students to be published by Baylor University Press.
We are soliciting contributions for The Dictionary of the Bible and Western Culture: A Handbook for Students to be published by Baylor University Press.
This student-friendly resource will provide undergraduates with basic background information about biblical characters, terms, symbols, and themes as well as trace ways these subjects reappear in later literature, art, music, and popular culture media. This tool will be non-confessional and cross-disciplinary, and we hope useful in a wide range of classroom contexts (courses in literature, film, religion, etc.). We are looking for short entries (600 words and less) on a wide variety of topics. If interested, please see the attached files for topics and guidelines.
Please feel free to forward this call for contributors to anyone you think might be interested and qualified.
Please contact Mary Ann Beavis for Guidelines and a List of Topics.
