"History, texts, and texts in waiting"

The conference will take the form of an international, interdisciplinary forum falling under the themes of marketing, publicity, criticism, aesthetic value and experience. Looking at the ephemera that is generated in anticipation of, and in response to, texts (reviews, fanzines, websources, trailers, posters, commercials, printed advertisements and other forms of promotion, publicity and criticism), we welcome discussions on topics in the domains of reception studies and visual culture that address the expectations and experiences at play in the interaction the general public, the fan, the connoisseur and the texts themselves.
