The 25th Conference on Shamanism and Alternative Modes of Healing

25 Magnolia Avenue, San Rafael, CA 94901 on the Dominican College Campus.
This is a working conference, gathering together from a variety of indigenous cultures shamans, healers, scientists, anthropologists, teachers and artists.
The purpose is to preserve and further the integrity of shamanism, including the exploration of 21st Century shamanism, and share the latest insights in the field of alternative healing.
Current topics include global warming and planetary healing.
This year’s conference will include the Ruth-Inge Heinze Memorial Lecture, by Dr. Stanley Krippner of Saybrook Institute.
Scholars from a wide range of disciplines are encouraged to submit an abstract on a topic.
Speakers are given 20 minutes to present, followed by general discussion. Both scientific papers and experiential offerings and ritual create a mosaic in which the deeper messages for living are shared. Deadline for abstracts is April 31, 2008.
Guests are welcome. Registration for the Conference: $250 which includes meals and lodging at Santa Sabina, from Saturday lunch to Monday brunch.
