The Faculty of Military Science (South African Military Academy) of Stellenbosch University is hosting the 1st International Conference on Africans Securing Africa:Strategic Challenges for the Next decade. Due date for submission of Abstract is 30 April 2008,and papers/posters by 30 June 2008. The sub-themes of the conference include: a)Security Issues; b)Military education to empower Military Leaders; c)Recruitment and Selection Strategies for selecting the "cream of the crop" for the African armed forces; d)Military Leadership: an African Model; Military Psychology and the Mental Health of Armed Forces; e)The type of Equipment required by Africans to protect Africa;and Generic Skills required for Armed Forces in Africa. The conference will be held in Saldanha at Blue Bay Lodge from 16 to 18 September 2008. Social Activities included are Local Cuisine,Boat trip on the Langebaan Lagoon, Wine tasting from the Regional Vineyards, Seasonal wild flowers, etc. Registration Fees R2500 all inclusive (excl accomodation)for the 3-days, and R900 for single day attendance.
