Dear Colleague,

The LGBTQ Historical Review, an international association of doctoral students researching and documenting the LGBTQ past, will have its official launch in September 2008.

The goals of this organization are as follows:

1. To create a comprehensive directory of doctoral students working on the LGBTQ past. Each member of the association will have a searchable online profile with details on personal academic accomplishments and research interests. This directory will facilitate networking among doctoral students around the world with similar research interests.

2. To launch an official website in September 2008 featuring the above-mentioned directory, a listserv, a forum, a fellowship/call for papers/call for publications section, a bibliography/sources section and a news section detailing the evolution of the field and accomplishments of member doctoral students.

3. To publish a quarterly online journal showcasing research in progress by member doctoral students.

The LGBTQ Historical Review is a non-profit organization. Membership to the association is free.

Interested doctoral students should email their names, affiliation, and a short bio featuring their research interests to lgbtqhistoricalreview@gmail.com before June 15th 2008. We also currently welcome reviews of seminal scholarship in the field for our biography section.
