The workshop is aimed at defining the current status of computational linguistics, scientometrics and history of science, in order to create a continuous interchange of such diverse disciplines. The main objective is to extend the application of humanities computing beyond information retrieval, electronic database and e-learning so as to form a completely new discipline, the cognitive scientometrics, that is to say a technique able to explore automatically considerable scientific corpora in terms of hermeneutics.
