Territories of empire: Papers invited on topics relevant to the impact of empire on the construction of gender identities in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, African colonial territories, Pakistan, India and other South Asian colonial territories, etc.
The impact of empire at home: Papers invited on topics such as the anti-slavery movement; foreign mission organisations and their supporters; emigration societies; popular militarism; fictional representations of empire; the creation of heroines and heroes of empire.
