On the Occasion of Quebec City's 400th Anniversary, ACSUS and ACQS announce a joint Conference, November 13-16, 2008, Loews Le Concorde Hotel, Quebec City
ACSUS will hold in partnership with the American Council for Quebec Studies (ACQS) a conference on: 'Quebec and Canada: 400 years of challenges.' ACSUS encourages everyone with an interest in Canada and Quebec to consider past, present, and future challenges to the Quebec/Canada relationship.
Papers from both the social sciences and humanities are strongly encouraged. Proposals aligned with the ACSUS theme 'Quebec and Canada: 400 years of Challenges' should be sent to Milena Santoro: santorom@georgetown.edu
ACQS also encourages papers addressing the topic: 'Quebec et les autres: 400 years of interactions' exploring themes relevant to the study of North American francophone history, society, and culture. Papers addressing this topic should be sent to Program chair, David Massell: david.massell@uvm.edu
