Dr. Joyce Appleby, the noted historian of America’s Early Republic, and former President of the American Historical Association and the Organization of American Historians, will present the Distinguished Lecture in American History and Culture at the Franciscan Center of Lourdes College (Sylvania, Ohio) at 7 PM on Monday April 21, 2008. Her lecture is entitled “Coming to Terms with Thomas Jefferson.” The lecture is free, open to the public, and sponsored in part by a grant from the Ohio Humanities Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
