This announcement is for a panel proposal for the 2009 Renaissance Society of America Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, March 19-21. This panel will consider issues of religion and politics in Jean Bodin's "Colloquium heptaplomeres de rerum sublimium arcanis abditis." The theme of this panel is broadly conceived and the organizers invite papers from all relevant disciplines.
