The California Studies Assocations presents its 18th annual conference, "Changing Climates: Class, Culture and Politics in an Era of Global Warming." Panels on Coping with Climate Change, Working in a Green Economy, Immigration, Community Organizing in Silicon Valley, Arts and Activism, and more. Panelists include writers, artists, radio journalists, and scholars from around California. Friday night keynote address by Matt Gonzales, Independent candidate for Vice-President of the United States, at 7pm.
This conference takes place from April 11-13, 2008, at Berkeley City College, 2050 Center Street.
It is open to the public, with a $35 suggested donation, and a $10 student or low-income suggested donation.
