Connecticut College's Center for the Comparative Study of Race, Space, and Memory will host a two-day symposium "Race, Space, and Memory", April 18-19. Speakers to include Anna Deavere Smith (NYU), James E. Young (UMass), Betty Chen (NYC Planning Commission), Tommy DeFrantz (MIT) David Dorfman (Conn College), Lindsey Harlan (Conn College), David Kyuman Kim (Conn College), Mab Segrest (Conn College), Dell Upton (UCLA), George Sanchez (USC), Abigail Van Slyck, Christopher Steiner (Conn College) and Duncan Williams (UC Berkeley). Dialogues, dance performances by David Dorfman Dance and Tommy DeFrantz, and art exhibitions.
