The Philippine Academic Consortium for Latin American Studies (PACLAS) welcomes proposals for individual papers and panelsits for the first international conference on Philippine-Latin American Relations in December 2008, Manila.
Proposals should include the title of the paper, an abstract of not more than 300 words, and the author’s name, institutional affiliation, country of origin, and mailing address. The conference theme is as follows:

Special Panels on Comparative Studies of Philippine Cities
(e.g. Manila, Quezon City, Iloilo) and Latin American Cities
using the above-mentioned topics
