The Institute of National Remembrance (Poland) with co-organizers from Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic would like to invite you to an international conference "Secret weapon or victims of the Cold War? Central and Eastern European Émigrés".
The conference will proceed in English, German and Polish with simultaneous interpretation. The conference will be structured in 4 parts: Soviet patterns and directives from Moscow; an overview over the state and security apparatus structures involved in actions against émigrés; case studies on communist countries’ actions against political émigrés in the West; Western intelligence and counter-intelligence vis-ŕ-vis East-Central European émigrés. The conference will include also meeting with the witnesses of history.
The conference will take place in Lublin (Poland), from 13th to 15th November 2008
