The panelists will discuss Jae-Jung Suh’s new book on the US-ROK military alliance, “Power, Interest, and Identity in Military Alliances,” which explores how the durability and success of military alliances hinges upon a complex combination of balance of power and alliance politics, cultural, national, and institutional identities, and shared perceptions about adversaries.
