Workforce Education and Development

This course is for family and consumer sciences teachers in middle school, high school, and/or career and technical schools who are interested in preparing students for the twenty-first century workplace by integrating technology into FACS instruction. Teachers will develop FACS content area activities using Web tools for students to meet the Academic and Pennsylvania Standards for Family and Consumer Sciences. The FACS area’s content focus includes family/parenting/child development, early childhood education, foods and nutrition, financial literacy, and housing/interiors.
