THE ETHICS OF HOLOCAUST RESCUE AND RESCUERS. We are interested in presentations that respond to either (or both) of these themes specfically in terms of Patrick Henry's book WE KNOW ONLY MEN: THE RESCUE OF JEWS IN FRANCE DURING THE HOLOCAUST (Catholic University of America Press, 2007). What is or is likely to be the importance or impact of this scholarly a nd critical work upon Holocaust Studies, upon comparative genocide studies, or upon other fields? Submissions are for a proposed Special Session Panel at the MLA Annual Convention in San Francisco, December 27-30, 2008. This session has not yet been approved. After selecting panelists based on the abstracts submitted, we will submit a formal panel proposal to the MLA by the April 1 deadline. Panelists selected should note the April 7 deadline for MLA membership.
