JUNE 7, 2008: the Tarletons Charlottesville Raid of 1781 Tour. Please join us for a one day bus tour and presentations to explore the history and locations of Lt. Col. Banastre Tarletonfs devastating raid in 1781 to destroy Patriot supplies and capture Virginia Gov. Thomas Jefferson and the state legislature during the American Revolution. Seating will be limited to approximately 45 persons, and we expect to fill the bus up quickly. Tickets are $45 per seat. Several of the properties to be visited are in private hands, and have not previously been open to the public.
