This day long conference at the new £30 million Wellcome Collection in central London will look at the topic of How Museums can Transform Children's Lives. The keynote speaker will be Leigh-Anne Stradeski - Director, Eureka! The Museum for Children.
Museums, galleries and heritage organisations are in a tremendous position to help transform the lives of children in the United Kingdom for the better. With social exclusion, problems with criminal and antisocial behaviour and the lack of mainstream educational achievement amongst many children and youngsters so often top of both the government and news agenda, museums are in a unique position to help tackle such problems by offering new experiences, opportunities and support to children and young people.
The cost for the conference is £197. To book, email Ann Curtis.
