We welcome submissions for a proposed anthology, tentatively entitled "Separate and Unequal: Historical Perspectives on American Education." This volume seeks to represent the latest scholarship investigating issues of race, class, ethnicity, religion, gender and/or national identity formation that influenced education in America throughout its history. Targeting sophisticated undergraduates along with graduate students and specialists, this exciting new collection will capitalize on the growing interest in the historical foundations of the problems facing our schools today.
By April 1, please send a brief c.v., a 500 word abstract for a proposed 6,000 to 8,000 word chapter, in addition to a 250 word statement that outlines the methodology used and situates the essay within the current scholarly literature.
