A 6 day culinary-cultural immersion for accredited food, nutrition, health and culinary professionals. Participate in dialog, presentations, culinary-cultural explorations and gain deeply personal insights into the Mediterranean food, culture and lifestyle that has inspired the world.
For 6 days, a rare opportunity to spend quality time in rural communities, meeting with residents and following traditional agricultural and culinary practices along with them. Together with experts from Crete, we will explore the countryside blanketed with wild herbs, the olive groves, vineyards, fishing ports and vegetable gardens. We will see the diversity of Crete’s bounties brought together in the kitchen. In this setting, and in complete contrast from the hectic world and its modern accoutrements, we will meet and truly live among a people who embody the renowned Mediterranean lifestyle. We will discover how and why their way of life is so beneficial to the rest of the world.
Not merely a visit, a demonstration or a tasting, but a true immersion into, and embodiment of, “Mediterranean.”
