Dear All,
The deadline for papers and session to this year's SSHA has been extended until the 15th of February. The conference will be held in Miami, Florida, 23-26 October 2008. The Rural History network welcomes session or paper proposals on any aspect of rural history. If you would like to submit or discuss your paper or session ideas please contact Louis Kyriakoudes (Louis.kyriakoudes@usm.edu), Ken Sylvester(kenms@umich.edu), or George Vascik (vascikgs@muohio.edu).
We would particularly welcome papers or sessions related to the conference themes of temporality and interdisciplinarity: transformative change, new periodizations and organizing narratives, links between micro and macro processes, and comparative cultural and environmental change.
