12 -13 June 2008, University of Surrey, United Kingdom
The seminar aims to provide an inter-disciplinary forum within which both academics and practitioners are able to explore the often complex and contested relationships between work, gender and sexualities.
The themes and issues to be explored in the seminar are of global significance and demand an analysis that is not limited by national concerns or borders. These include:
-the performance of gender and sexuality in the workplace
-the informal and often hidden dimensions of work
-sex work and migration issues
-the work involved in the control and regulation of sexual behaviour and identity, both nationally and internationally
-future directions for research in this area.
