Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to join us for an international workshop on Friday February 15, "Russo-Arab Ties in Historical Perspective: A Workshop on Imperial Russia, Islam, and the Ottoman Arab Lands." This event brings together scholars from Europe, Uzbekistan, Russia, and the United States working on imperial Russia and the Arab world, and includes a session on using "Muslim sources" to write Muslims into imperial Russian and Soviet history.
