Landmarks of American History and Culture Workshops for School Teachers--"Eudora Welty's Secret Sharer: The Outside World and the Writer's Imagination"

Come into Eudora Welty's world--into her house, her garden, her hometown. Study her fiction as you experience the world that sparked her imagination. The National Endowment for the Humanities offers this opportunity. Each K-12 educator selected for a weeklong workshop in Jackson, MS, will receive a $500 stipend and a travel supplement.

Applications must be postmarked by March 17, 2008. Announcement of awards will be made on April 16, 2008.

These Landmarks of American History and Culture Workshops will be directed by Welty biographer Suzanne Marrs.
