Se convoca a investigadores(as) de ciencias sociales y humanidades (historia del arte, literatura, antropología) a enviar propuestas de ponencias para el Simposio pluridisciplinario Local-Nacional-Global: desafíos trans-fronterizos para los creadores mexicanos.
El simposio se orienta en la continuación de un proyecto de investigación iniciado en 2005 en el Centre de Recherches sur les Arts et le Langage (EHESS, Paris) y titulado Creaciones locales mexicanas y globalización. Parte de sus avances fueron presentados durante el congreso LASA –Montreal, 2007-. El LASA constituyó una valiosa oportunidad para difundir el proyecto y permitió agregar nuevas voces a esta investigación. Gracias al interés de otros investigadores, esta investigación sobre el impacto de la globalización en las artes locales en México ganó en amplitud y de allí la importancia de proponer un simposio al 53° CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL DE AMERICANISTAS.
