Dini Macris will present a porgram on "Mission to McMurdo Station" on Sunday, February 10th at 2:00 p.m. at the Shaw Mansion, the New London County Historical Society. Macris, a recent graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, King's Point, spent several months last year on a supply ship serving Antarctica ouposts and will be sharing with us stories from that particulary challening assignment.
This program is part of our series celebrating International
Polar Year '08-and New London's connections to the polar region. The program is free for members; $5.00 for others. Refreshments will be served.
