The American Studies Institute of The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia, announces its 2008 workshop, "From Cold War to Strangelove: Examining Communism in America through Politics and Culture, 1940-1960." Held June 12-13, 2008, the workshop features Dr. Harvey Klehr of Emory University as the keynote speaker and offers sessions on television, toys, fashion, music, art, and literature of the Cold War era. The workshop is open to all secondary school educators and graduate students who want to encourage their students to learn about America from an interdisciplinary perspective.
