The Folger Shakespeare Library announces the opening of History in the Making: How Early Modern Britain Imagined its Past, January 24 - May 17, 2008. In this exhibition curators Alan Stewart of Columbia University and Garrett Sullivan of Pennsylvania State University explore the influence of history during regime change, religious upheaval, and the building of national British identity through over 100 items from the Folger Shakespeare Library collection.
The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm Monday-Saturday, excluding federal holidays. Docent-led tours are available at 11am on weekdays and at 11am and 1pm on Saturdays.
