An academic publisher is interested in a collection of essays about ethical criticism. As the editor, I envision the book having several thematic centers: the responsibilities of readers, the obligations of writers, the legacy of Wayne Booth, connections to disciplines other than literary criticism (history, law, philosophy, religion), narrative theory and ethical theory, and postmodernism and the ethics of reading.
