Shadow Puppets Around the World

Advance registration required: $20 ($15 for Museum members)
Discover the different shadow puppet theater traditions of Southern Asia, Europe, and the United States with the Museum of Natural History and the UConn Puppet Arts Series. Explore how these forms of puppetry theater have linked global culture for centuries. Based on the Ballard Institute’s “Shadow and Substance” exhibition, the workshop will combine instruction, video documentation, and hands-on puppeteering experience! Adults and children ages 8 and above.
