Attention faculty with undergraduates who are Jewish from the Bay Area:
Announcing the Kohn Summer Intern Program in Jewish communal service! An innovative 8 week program sponsored by JVS, students are placed in professional positions in leading Jewish agencies around the Bay Area to gain valuable workplace experience, exposure to issues facing the Jewish community, and opportunities for mentoring and supervision from Jewish community leaders.
Participants works four full days a week at their internships, and spend Fridays in group seminars. Students receive a $2500 stipend for their participation. Only students with primary residence in the Bay Area are eligible, in good academic standing with demonstrated commitment to the Jewish community. This summer's program runs from June 16-August 8, 2008, and applications are due March 3, 2008.
