Call for Contributors:
A leading publisher has decided to develop a series of volumes entitled The Dictionary of American Literary Characters and the Dictionary of British Literary Characters. This will be a 4-volume set. As the editor, I am seeking scholars to write about literary characters in novels, plays, short stories that will be included in these volumes. The publisher is Facts on File, Inc.
I request entries on the following:
I. American short stories and dramas published during the past 7 years.
American novels published during or after 2001.
II. British short stories and dramas published during the past 12 years.
British novels published during or after 2001.
III. World novels, short stories, and dramas. No date restrictions.
I am asking possible contributors to name the work(s) they desire to write about, along with the names of the characters from the work(s). Please include a brief CV.
Short stories should include 1-5 characters for each title.
Novels and dramas should include 5-15 characters for each title. Very large works can, of course, exceed these limits.
Each entry is an entry on a character and should be approximately 50 words.
