The American Antiquarian Society's Summer Seminar in the History of the Book in American Culture will be held at the AAS in Worcester, MA from Wednesday, June 18 through Monday, June 23, 2008.
The seminar is entitled "The Newspaper and the Culture of Print in the Early American Republic," and will be led by David Paul Nord of Indiana University and John Nerone of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Vincent Golden, Curator of Newspapers and Periodicals at the AAS, will serve as a guest instructor. The seminar will be of interest to scholars from a broad range of disciplines whose work deals with American history, literature, and print culture.
