The fourth workshop of the Mellon French Atlantic History Group in Montréal proposes a series of conversations that explore the relationship between history and history-telling in its créole mode.
The workshop will bring together members of the Creolité movement, historians and anthopologists working on creolization processes in the French Caribbean, scholars of Caribbean literature, and public historians of the Caribbean diaspora here in Montreal. The aim is to develop an “état de la question” on the different manners of telling the Caribbean past.
It will take place at McGill University, in Montreal (Canada), from the 1st to the 3rd of May 2008.
