Contributions are now invited on an ongoing basis for the new International Planning History Society (IPHS) section of Planning Perspectives.
This section of the journal will showcase the latest research in Planning History, and the kinds of submissions invited range from short papers on original topics, to news items on research in progress, reports on recent conferences, workshops, symposia and exhibitions, notices of forthcoming events and calls for papers, and accounts of innovation in the teaching of planning history.
Original unpublished material written in English will be considered for publication and submissions should be sent as e-mail attachments to pomfretd@hkucc.hku.hk. Short articles submitted wil be refereed. They should be 2,500 to 4,000 words long with endnotes and may focus on any topic falling under the general remit of the IPHS (for more information on style, layout and how to present illustrations please refer to guidelines in Planning Perspectives, also available at www.planninghistory.org).
Other contributions, such as reports on research in progress or recent (or forthcoming) conferences and meetings are also welcome, and should not be more than 2,000 words in length. The IPHS section will also feature calls for papers, and notices of conferences and other events relating to Planning History taking place anywhere in the world. Notices should be submitted well in advance of the events to which they refer.
